Movie 1. Single turn orientation, Myliobatis californica. The stingray enters the field of view and makes a left turn upon detection of the electric field produced by the active dipole electrode at the bottom of the screen.
Movie 2. Orientation with reverse, Pteroplatytrygon violacea electrode. The ray enters the electric field produced by the dipole electrode at the top of the screen, stops and reverses backwards to position the mouth over the center of the electrode.
Movie 3. Spiral orientation along voltage equipotential lines, Urobatis halleri. The stingray arcs toward the center of the active dipole electrode at the bottom of the screen.
