Movie 1. Response of Atlantic stingrays to prey-simulating electric stimuli in seawater and freshwater. The stingrays were able to detect electric fields in both seawater and freshwater environments. However, the stingrays initiated orientations from greater distances from the dipole source when in the seawater environment compared with the freshwater environment.
