Oysters were collected in the field or produced in the hatchery. Five males and 20 females were mated to produce animals in the pooled group (Pool) whereas Fx represents full-sib families. Data are means ± s.e.m., n=3 aquaria. Data from different temperatures and times were pooled together when these effects were not significant. Different letters indicate significant differences.
