The supraorbital region (blue) includes the preoptic (PO) and supraorbital (SO) neuromasts. The infraorbital region (gold) includes the mandibular (M), infraorbital (IO) and opercular (OP) neuromasts. The caudal–cranial region (purple) includes the otic (O), occipital (OC), dorsal (D) and middle (MI) neuromasts. Finally, the posterior (P) neuromasts are located in the trunk region (green).
