Recording traces in a single unanesthetized trout, illustrating the changes observed in ventilatory movements (ventilation), dorsal aortic blood pressure (PDA) and electrocardiographic (ECG) signals 15 min after intracerebroventricular (ICV) injection of (A) 0.5 µl vehicle and (B) 50 pmol NP{gamma}. Note that, compared with ICV injection of vehicle, the injection of NP{gamma} produces an increase in ventilation rate but a potent reduction in ventilation amplitude.
