Shown are the lateral heart tubes (heart), parts of the afferent latero-lateral vessel (llv), the efferent lateroabdominal vessel (lat-abd vessel) and its insertion point at the heart (arrow), the dorsal vessel (on the right), and the posterior portion of the ventral vessel. The ventral vessel gives rise to a smaller vessel (dotted line) that accompanies one of the dorso-ventral muscles. When opening the cast section the ventral vessel was pulled latero-dorsal and broke off just anterior to the enlargement for the ganglion (asterisk). Scale bar: 1 mm.
