Corrigendum

On the estimation of swimming and flying forces from wake measurements

An error appears in Eqn 4 (p. 3521), which is propagated throughout the remainder of the manuscript. The correct version of the equation is as follows:

where the factor 1/C_AM denotes the element-wise inverse of the added-mass tensor.

The conclusions of the manuscript are unaffected by the error; however, the quantitative interpretation of the wake vortex ratio (Wa) is revised accordingly.
