In vitro effects of incubation of postvitellogenic follicles with 2-hydroxyestradiol-17ß (2-OHE2, 5 µmol l–1) and different concentrations of cAMP, IBMX, theophylline or caffeine on the percentage of germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD) in Heteropneustes fossilis. Values are means ± s.e.m. (N=3). Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA (P<0.001) and Newman–Keuls' test (P<0.05).
