After this recording was taken, the electrode was removed from Rsint1 and Lsint1 was impaled. (C,D) Simultaneous recording from Rsint2 (C) and Lsint1 (D) during the same swimming episode. The two sets of records were aligned to the midpoint of the center burst in Rsint2 so that the timing of bursts could be compared. All recordings are from the same whole animal preparation. Similar results were obtained in three separate whole animal experiments.
