isolated on western blots labeled with a Hsp70 mouse monoclonal antibody
(Sigma, St Louis, MO, USA; H5147) and an anti-mouse secondary antibody
conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (Sigma). Proteins were visualized with
enhanced chemiluminescence and quantified on a Typhoon Phosphorimager
(Amersham, UK). The Hsp70 standard is 0.5 µg of purified Hsp70 protein
(from bovine brain; Sigma; H9776). Numbers in bars indicate sample size.
