in extraction buffer. Flies were subjected to 4 h of anoxia and 5 µg of
aggregated proteins were prepared by adding 0, 0.3, 0.5 mol
l1 trehalose. Although the same amount of
Na+/K+ATPase seemed to be present in total proteins,
much less Na+/K+ATPase was present in the aggregated
proteins with 0.5 mol l1 trehalose as compared with that
lacking trehalose. Note that the beta-tubulin concentration did not change in
each of T, S or A proteins as a function of trehalose.
