For statistical analysis, values of caeca have been compared to the rest of the regions. There are no significant differences between the values of caeca and ampullae. Caeca and ampullae of the Malpighian tubules show higher levels of staining compared with ventricle (*P<0.05, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001).
