Total RNA from intermoult, early premoult (stage D0), and early postmoult (2-4 days post-ecdysis) lobsters was DNase-treated, reverse-transcribed, and PCR-amplified in reactions containing SYBR Green I fluorescent dye (see Materials and methods).
