  Male slides down the branch, in a head-down tail-up posture, pauses, and beats out four wing Claps.

• Movie 2 - Pipra mentalis Claps, high-speed.

  Male is perched in the head-down tail-up posture and produces four wing Claps. Note the yellow-thighs visible reverberating with the impact of the wing. Recorded at 500·frames·s^–1, played back at 30·frames·s^–1. 

   

• Movie 3 - Pipra mentalis Clicks, conventional speed.

  Male turns on his perch and flies away, making a light Click immediately preceding departure.
