(B) Sensory cells at the lip edge. (C) Longitudinal (horizontal) and circular myofibrils in the wall of the manubrium. The longitudinal muscles are concentrated into longitudinal muscle bands (lmb) that underlie the FaIR nerve tracts shown in A.
