Mechanism and rate of glucose absorption differ between an Australian honeyeater (Meliphagidae) and a lorikeet (Loriidae)

Total recovery for each tissue was estimated by extrapolating the concentration of radioactivity in sub-samples to the whole tissue mass, and is expressed as a percentage of the dose delivered by oral gavage.
