The distribution of the major phospholipid molecules of phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE) and phosphatidylserine (PS) in liver of the lizard (Trachydosaurus rugosus) and rat (Rattus norvegicus). Significant differences between the lizard and rat for these molecules in all these tissues are presented in Table 3. Values are mean % ± s.e.m. of total phospholipid (nmol g–1 wet tissue). The FA shown in the left-most box is the predominant sn-1 FA with the predominant sn-2 FA shown in the right hand box. Molecules that contribute to less than 1.0% in each tissue are not shown but are included in any calculations.
