The relationship between the change in BMR ({Delta}BMR) within individuals and the change in Tacc ({Delta}Tacc) was best described by a cubic regression model {Delta}BMR=-3.5634-0.4394{Delta}Tacc+0.0148({Delta}T acc)2-0.0004({Delta}Tacc)3 (r2=0.493, F3,26=8.414, P<0.001), where {Delta}BMR is the change in BMR expressed as a percentage of acclimation I BMR and {Delta}Tacc is the change in Tacc between acclimation I and II.
