Haemocyte monolayers were pre-treated for 30 min with the phospholipase C inhibitors U-73122 and ET-18-OCH₃ or the PI-3-K inhibitor LY294002 at similar range of concentrations (0.001-10 µmol l^-1), or vehicle prior to the addition of laminarin (10 mg ml^-1) for 10 min.
