Exposure to 100 µmol l–1 H2S for 1 h immediately following the second training session had no effect on the ability of the animals to show memory 24 h later (N=24). Learning was shown since the number of attempted openings in session 2 was significantly less than session 1 (ANOVA F(23,1)=8.6197, P<0.01). Memory was demonstrated since MT was significantly less than session 1 (ANOVA F(23,1)=21.1944, P<0.01), but not significantly more than session 2 (ANOVA F(23,1)=6.5714, P=0.0174).
