Transverse sections were stained with Hematoxylin/Eosin (B) or incubated with pre-immune serum (A) or Ha-CalpM antiserum (C,D). Nuclei (arrowheads) are associated with the sub-sarcolemmal cytoplasm of sarcolemal clefts (arrows), which are large infoldings of the cell membrane.
