Each measurement was made at the time of TEWL measurements (see Fig. 3), indicated as trial number on the abscissa. Arrows indicate relative timing of the first (E1) and second (E2) ecdysis with respect to trial number. Repeated-measures ANOVA followed by Bonferroni post hoc tests indicate that body length increased significantly from birth to second ecdysis (P<0.0001), while changes in length between the first and second ecdysis (trials 2 and 3) were not significant (P=0.6715).
